BERKO INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT SA, a pioneering Spanish company in the manufacturing of glass fiber reinforced poles, was born from the collaboration with KONEKT SLU.

After more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, Konekt Teleco SLU, a company specialized in the manufacturing of underground and aerial solutions, made its expertise and technology available to meet the challenge of new market demand.

After a successful track record with the largest companies in the telecommunications and energy sectors, KONEKT initiated the creation of BERKO, which is now the group's pole manufacturing company.

Traditionally, the telecommunications and electrical sectors have used wooden, metal, or concrete poles for aerial deployment for many years.


However, these materials are very limited in many aspects, and at BERKO we are confident that composite poles are the future due to their multiple advantages, both in technical properties and long lifespan.

To meet this market demand, BERKO has one of the largest plants in the sector, with over 15,000m² of surface area.

Our main mission is the manufacturing and distribution, for the telecommunications and electrical sectors, of high value-added products, specifically GFRP poles for now.

However, as part of our development, we will also be creating new products using the same technology adapted to GFRP pipes.
